Understanding Polarity Therapy

Polarity Therapy

Polarity Therapy works to balance the complex network of electromagnetic charge that surrounds and permeates the body to achieve good health. Just as the earth has a positive pole (north), neutral pole (central), and negative pole (south) so does the human body.

When examining the macro scale, the head is considered positive, the abdomen neutral, and the feet negative. Knowing that my hands are charged, I can work in the energy matrix of another person to move and direct energy as necessary.

As a Polarity Practitioner, I have developed my sense of touch ((called entrainment)) to read the signs of another body. We all have this capability to balance energy using the hands.

The above illustration shows a more complex breakdown of the positive, neutral, and negative areas of charge within the body. It highlights the micro scale, to which the same principles still apply.

If you look to the hand on the right side of the image you will see that the finger tip holds a positive charge, the middle knuckle is neutral, and the third knuckle is negative— superior, middle, and inferior, respectively.

When you look more closely at the head, it can be broken down to show that the top of the head + brain are positive (both anterior and posterior for each third), the middle of the head from the eyebrows down to the top of the mouth is neutral, and the mouth, chin and neck are negatively charged. These areas also have correspondences in the hands and feet (see diagram).

Dr. Stone used the principle of thirds ((think to all major religions—the father, the son, the Holy Spirit in Christianity; Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva- the representation of creation, maintenance, and destruction in Hindu theology, and Yin, Yang and Qi in Traditional Chinese Medicine)) to portray the energetic breakdown throughout the physical body.
